It is very sad that the US ranks far higher than comparable countries with the highest teen pregnancies. I think shows like the one MTV has “16 and Pregnant” are sparking the issue of girls who want to get pregnant. I think MTV has created the show to show teenagers how hard it is to have a baby young, but what has happened it is going the other way. Girls see these individuals as having 15 mins of fame, and think how fun it would be to have a baby. I know a few friends who have know girls that have said it would be so fun to have a baby at 15, 16, or 17.

How can we educated properly, and not have shows like this to glamorize teen pregnancy? I know we discussed many of these issues in the first week of class, however, I would like to focus on the teenager this week, instead of the pre-term baby.
